The perfect fit starts with the ring.
The TameGuard Double Ring with a height of 16 mm was developed for situations where a flat ring, despite a suitable inner diameter, does not offer sufficient support or the cage slips down – even if the ball gap is generally comfortable.
In our experience, the cause in such cases is not the ring diameter, but rather individual anatomical features. These can include a longer scrotum or one that protrudes further forward. A flat ring often doesn't provide enough vertical surface area to reliably stabilize the cage. Additionally, with flat rings, the scrotum can be pulled inwards in an unfavorable way.
The greater ring height creates a larger contact area. At the same time, the scrotum is guided more evenly and can be gently stretched – which is desirable for some and can improve the stability of the cage without having to choose a tighter ring.
The Double Ring is ideal when additional ring height is needed without having to go directly to the triple version.
Attention: Total lengthÂ
The double ring increases the overall length (ring + cage) by 8mm. Example:
A TameGuard cage with a specified length of 50–65 mm results in the following total length with the Double Ring: 65 mm + 8 mm = 73 mm
